After basically lurking for months, I've finally come to a decision to leave dA when my core membership expires in June. As much as I enjoyed my time here, it just isn't the best space for me anymore. Both university and life have prevented me from churning out short stories and doodles like I used to (and even those were few and far in between). dA just isn't the place it was for me when I entered. It may be the environment or just me, maybe a bit of both. I'll be leaving groups and slowly taking my works down. I'm very much aware that at least one of my short stories ha been copied and published elsewhere by another, and while it bothers me, it's on their conscience. I may find another platform for my old literature and doodles, but it's not a guarantee.
I'll be spending the next few months finding my favorite artists on sites where I'm more active, such as Twitter and Tumblr. Maybe saying goodbye to friends who are only on dA too.
If any of you care to find me, I'm on twitter (my personal account, my fangirl account), tumblr, and ao3. I'll be adding content to the last one when I get my fanfic ideas outlined and written.
It was fun being on dA, and I treasure every minute of it. Thank you to everyone I got to share this experience with, you all mean the world to me. Thank you so much.

Hello people of dA~! You'll all recall from my last journal (Still MIA - Maybe Forever) that I was deciding whether to leave dA or not. I knew I said I'd make the decision when my premium/core membership expires, but life has pushed me to make this choice a lot earlier.
I'm currently in the last term of my junior year in college and am taking major subjects along with on the job training and thesis proposal. It's a lot to handle, but accounting majors in my university have been doing it for years and so will I. On the other hand, I've been taking a more active role in my student organization, the Writers' Guild. While I haven't been writing as much as I did three or four years ago, I've still been able to write a short story now and then. I've even dabbled into old story ideas from eons ago. That said, I have a lot on my plate. I've decided to step back from dA activity for now..
I'll still be around, of course. I can't just abandon this account because it's an integral part of who I am. This account, the people I've met, and all my experiences have helped make me who I am. Additionally, I refuse to just delete everything I've shared with you all. I may not be posting any new works for a long time, and I'd just like a reminder that I do have the confidence to share my stories to encourage me one day. I'll be a passive lurker mostly. I originally came to dA to follow amazing artists, and I'm staying for the same reason.
I'll always treasure my experiences and the relationships I made on dA. you can always reach me on tumblr, twitter, and even a note on here. I'll make sure to reply as soon as I can. I love you all <3

Still MIA - Maybe Forever

I left a journal last year about how I was going to busy due to school and college organization work. I left the journal hoping that by my second term (the one I'm currently taking) I'd be free to write and be active on dA again. I was never more wrong. I made a few amateur mistakes last term, and I'm going to spend this term fixing them. I'm sorry to say that I won't be active and will respond to any notifications incredibly late. You can still drop me a line on any of my social media accounts I've linked. I tend to reply much faster there. I really wish I had the time I did in high school to make art and leave comments, but unfortunately, I don't. This inactivity may last for an indefinite amount of time because as a junior, I'll be taking on both my thesis and on the job training far sooner than I thought I would.
Honestly, dA isn't what it used to be for me. I still love the art and (what remains of) the people I've formed friendships with, but the novelty has passed. I haven't had a creative burst in almost two years and have very little time to get words typed out, let alone completed works! I'm not sure what to do at the moment, but in the meantime, I'll keep this account running. I'll give it until my Premium-- I'm sorry, Core Membership expired to mull things over. If I ever do decide to leave, I won't be completely GONE. I'll still be around to fave art and such, but none of my works (if they ever get written) are going to be uploaded and I won't be dropping that many notes or comments anymore. I think I'll look into new ways to connect with my friends here.
Speaking of which, I have to apologize to said friends (British-Prophetess, LadyLincoln, HugQueen, ArthurTheBraveOne, SilverInkblot, OfOneSoul, gliitchlord, Nichrysalis, UszatyArbuz, and you precious ducklings). I didn't have the time to write you all Christmas cards last year, and I felt awful about it. I really did want to send things over, but life got in the way. I'm hoping to get some time to at least send you all postcards to make up for it
Anyway, that's it for me for now.

LittleScavenger, he's become a good friend over the past few years. I would also love to meet all the other ducklings I made friends with, but I'd like to meet the amazing person who made all those friendships possible.

I think I'm more open to interaction because of certain people I've met on dA I used to just be a lurker, only leaving comments or short replies to any messages sent to me. Now, I actually love making friends anywhere and have more confidence in myself with regards to interacting with other people.
13. What are your preferred tools to create art?
As a writer, I often prefer my phone to writing on paper. I always have my phone with me, and while it isn't as hands-on as actually having previous ideas written down or crossed out in bursts, I feel like my phone is the best tool for me.
14. What is the most inspirational place for you to create art?
I don't really have a specific place in mind. Stories come to me anywhere and everywhere! I just have to be in the right mindset to write

I will always remember the morning when I looked at my notifications on my phone and saw I got a Daily Deviation on a piece I put my heart into, Souvenirs. It made me feel like I actually did have some talent in expressing myself through words.

While I'm not the most active person on dA, I'm online a lot. Unfortunately, school has gotten the better of me and I have to dedicate some more time to my academic responsibilities. I'm going on a semi-hiatus for an indefinite period of time. I can't really gauge how long it'll last because as soon as this term is over, the special term will start. I'll be around to see my notifications, but I will probably take a bit of time to respond to comments and such. I know it isn't much of a change (I usually post a random piece of writing every few months anyway), but I really must apologize to those I owe drabbles to.

I promised them all the way back in December and I've only gotten two or three written since. I had no idea life would be this hectic, and the writer's block isn't helping. Please know that I will get them done as soon as I possibly can. Any progress I make is logged on a sta.sh file you can find on my to-do list. If you'd still want the drabble that is. . . I understand if you're not interested in the drabbles anymore. I really am sorry and wish I wasn't so swamped at the moment. I'm apologize for the inconvenience and I hope you aren't too angry with me.
