Chispa: Fire Sparks

Description

Fire is alive; every little flame has a spirit. From the moment they're lit, they know their purpose is to provide light and heat until they have to be put out. Most fire spirits, like those of stoves and candles, accept their eventual death and live out their short but meaningful lives. Chispa (or sparks) are different; they are flame spirits that want to keep living on even after they've served their duty. After they're put out, they take the form scorched and burned human souls and wander wherever they can, spreading an controllable blaze wherever they pass. They believe that burning all their surroundings is the only way that they can keep living. Sometimes, they can even absorb smaller fire spirits and spark large fires from there. Chispa are volatile and unstable. Only a larger and more powerful combination of water and air can destroy them completely... and even then, a small piece of their dark soul still exists.

Feedback Corner #14

First of all, I like your description telling about fire spirits. Is this part of a larger story or a world you created?
Her pose looks very good. Only her hand looks a bit strange. But hands are really hard to draw. I like her legs peeking out from under her dress. Thus she seems dancing or floating, I can't really tell.
In a next step, you could work on the shading and change the background. The lines look too random in my eyes. But you could place some flames in the background, as she's a fire spirit.
But so far, it's a very nice character design with the little story. And don't worry about my criticism, all my drawings look similar before I work on the shading or add colours :sun:
